The Pen is Mightier than the Molotov
Biographical crap

In case you care enough to read some biographical info:

My name is Jake. I am a libertarian socialist, but I subscribe to no particular tendency of Anarchism or Marxist thought: I typically consider myself a pan-leftist of sorts and try to focus more on class consciousness and steps toward decentralization, individual liberty, participatory democracy and collectivization of resources and industries, rather than focusing on the particulars of an ideal society.

I dig theatre, film and literature. I’ve acted in several plays, have half-written several more and am currently studying to teach High School level English Lit. I am a fan of Orwell, Tolkien, Poe, Bradbury, and other early-mid 20th and late 19th century authors. I also wrote for my High School’s Student Newspaper for 3 years, two of which I wrote the monthly editorial column. I’m also a mostly self-taught musician; I play bass, guitar, drums, vocals, some keyboard/piano, and have played around with several other instruments. I played in, sang in and wrote lyrics for several punk rock bands throughout high school.

I have worked as a Toll Booth Operator, Construction site grunt who carries heavy stuff around, a cook, a dishwasher, and substitute teacher.

I’m from St. Mary’s County, the southernmost region of the State of Maryland. Here is a rural town with large pockets of over-developed suburbs and projects placed almost ironically next to the upper middle class housing of Military Contractor engineers and Navy Base personnel. This was the first Capitol of the State of Maryland, the site of many battles during the War of 1812, and the location of the infamously haunted Point Lookout Lighthouse (as poorly depicted in the Fallout 3 expansion), where my great great great grandfather was lighthouse keeper for 30 years.

I come from a lower middle class family (shared bedrooms, 3 TV channels, ramen noodles, the works) that worked its way up the social ladder and was pushed right back down after a bitter divorce and the subsequent crash of the residential real-estate industry that left many home-builders unemployed. I knew the Pink Panther as the Owens Corning Fiberglass Insulation mascot long before I knew it was a popular cartoon. I’m probably a better fisherman than most radical bloggers. I am a descendant of German/Polish immigrants and moonshine runners on one side, and Freemasons and Irish rebels on the other.

I’m an INTJ (Introverted, iNtuitive, Thinking, Judging) with anxiety problems and a severe messiah complex. I’m bigender, which means that I identify as both male and female - Google it. I accept any pronoun you like” he, she, him, her, ze, hir, it, whatever.

I hate hot weather, I can’t stand Jimmy Fallon’s face, I’m an unrelenting smartass, and I use big words in casual conversation, which pisses people off but I really don’t mean to.

If you read all of that you need a hobby.
